Conduits of Grace - a reflection
Share
The world is heavy with strife and unrest, and at times, leaving many feeling powerless to change their circumstances. Yet, history reveals a pattern of God’s response in times of crisis. In the bloody 20th century, marked by two world wars, God raised saints like St. John Paul II, St. Faustina, St. Pio, St. Teresa of Calcutta, St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Edith Stein and so on.
St. John Paul II’s visit to his war-torn homeland in Poland, for example, sparked a revolution of peace that rippled across the world. St. John Paul II and the saints show that, like the heart delivering life giving blood to the body, each Christian is called to be a conduit of God’s grace to the world.
We may not be called to the scope of their ministry, we can each struggle to give a greater “yes” to God daily, seeking His help in areas we find the hardest to let go of control.
When we align ourselves with God’s sovereign will, His transformative grace flows through us, transforming not only our lives and families but also ushering His Presence and Kingdom into the world.
Christ the King, help us!
